New Heirloom Kitchen Gets Back to Basics on Radio Dentata

Stephanie Stiavetti is out to redefine eating well. Think home-cured meats, seasonally fresh veggies, and luscious desserts with only a handful of stellar ingredients. For Stephanie, this is food as it should be: distinctive, passionate, rapturous.
Her mission is reflected in her show on Radio Dentata: New Heirloom Kitchen.
New Heirloom Kitchen explores a simple way of eating and thinking about food. “We’re not necessarily talking about old-school farming here, but a back-to-basics way of cooking that supports balance on an individual and environmental level.” says Stephanie. “And who are we kidding? Ingredients in their purest form are f**king good. How can you turn away dishes like slow roasted leg of lamb and voluptuous, blush-worthy tomatoes? “
As a food writer living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Stephanie loves cooking adventurously, figuring out new ways to use ingredients and discovering exciting techniques to accomplish her culinary goals. As someone who loves to eat, she does not believe in life without something delicious on the table.
Passionate about anything having to do with food or literature, she was fated to combine the two into the makings of a career. After having spent the first half of her adult life submerged in a sea of technology, Stephanie has happily given up the computer industry and now makes her living as a culinary wordsmith. Her work has appeared in such major media outlets as Pregnancy Magazine, Clean Eating, and NPR Online.

New Heirloom Kitchen gives Ms. Stiavetti a multi media presence on the Internet. She also has created several websites including The Culinary Life which chronicles her adventures as a professional foodie,
Wasabimon which showcases the best recipes she has discovered, including those that are gluten-free,
and The Good Taste Review which reviews anything and everything surfers might need in the kitchen especially cookbooks.
